Kampala University Students shines in World Cup
Uganda Women’s National Netball Team, the She Cranes, eased past Singapore in their opening game of the 2023 Netball World Cup.
Part of the She Cranes players that beat Singapore 79-37 at the International Conventional in Cape Town, South Africa are Kampala University students ( Bagala Margret, Sarah Nakiyonga, Eyalu Irene- Captain, Kadondi Faridah, Stella Nanfuka and Najuka Annet) .
Cheered on by a sizeable number of fans, the She Cranes, after a nervy start, led 22-09 after the first quarter and never relinquished their advantage until the final whistle.
We sincerely congratulate them for raising both the National and Kampala University Flags high.
