
Kampala University Leisure, Tourism, and Hotel Management Students pay a courtesy call to Imperial Botanical Hotel
Kampala University is delighted to share the success of a memorable study tour which took place on the 28th of October, 2023. Students from the Department of Leisure, Tourism, and Hotel Management, had the opportunity to explore the Imperial Botanical Hotel Entebbe, accompanied by our dedicated and esteemed staff Mr. Muhumuza Frank and Mr Ahibisibwe James together with the Head of Department Mr. Wiire Nicholas.
The warm reception and support received from the General Manager and the Human Resource Manager, along with their respective Departmental teams, made the tour exceptional. Their willingness to engage with our students and share their expertise was instrumental in making this experience unique.
During the tour, our students were exposed to hands-on training, allowing them to acquire a wealth of practical skills in the field of Hotel Management.
Departments visited included but not limited to Kitchen, Laundry, Housekeeping, guest rooms, gym and pool, conference rooms, bar, Front office, and restaurant
this exposure will undoubtedly contribute to their professional development and future success in the industry.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Management and staff of the Imperial Botanical Hotel for their hospitality and commitment to the growth of our students. Such collaborations between educational institutions and industry partners are crucial in preparing students for their careers.
The Department of Leisure, Tourism, and Hotel Management also extended their appreciation to the Management of Kampala University, Vice-chancellor, Academic Registrar, Director of Finance and Marketing, PRO and accounts department and staff for their respective support.
