PRESS RELEASE: 21st Graduation Ceremony of Kampala University

Warm greetings and best wishes to you members of the press.
It is with much pleasure that I take this opportunity to warmly welcome you to Kampala University Headquarters as we will hold our 21st Graduation Ceremony scheduled for Thursday 25th April 2024 at this very Campus (Ggaba) starting at 8:00 am.

The Chancellor Hon.Prof.George Mondo Kagonyera as usual will preside over this occasion and the Chief Guest will be Prof. Dr. Manfred Dietrich, the Honorary Consul of Uganda in Hamburg Germany.

I am pleased to report to you that during this function, over 3,036 graduands will be awarded Certificates, Postgraduate and undergraduate Diplomas, and conferred with Bachelor's and Master’s Degrees in various programmes of their academic pursuit.

The graduands are from the faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Arts and Social Sciences, Education, Business and Management, Industrial Art and Design, Natural Sciences and Agriculture, Health Sciences, and School of postgraduate studies.

All graduands have been studying at our Main Campus in Ggaba, Luweero Campus, Masaka Campus, Jinja Campus and Mutundwe Campus.

This function is a trio in nature whereby we are holding the University’s 21st Graduation, the 6th Congregation for our School of Nursing and Health Sciences and Celebrating 25 years of our history (Silver Jubilee).

All along, our Nursing and Health Science School has been holding separate Graduation functions at Mutundwe, but this time Management has decided to combine all for super merriments of the 25 years. The function will be broadcast live on BBS TV.

On behalf of the Kampala University family, I congratulate and encourage the graduands to lose sight of their values.  Integrity, compassion, and humility are the cornerstones of a meaningful and fulfilling life. Treat others with kindness and respect, and use your talents and abilities to make a positive difference in the world around you.

Thank you for listening.

Owek. Amb. Al-haj. Prof. Badru D Kateregga
Vice-Chancellor, Kampala University.
