
Kampala University Sports Department Presents Trophies and Medals from East African University Games
Kampala University’s Sports Department, led by Ms. Martha Soigi, officially presented a collection of trophies and medals to the university management following their impressive performance at the East African University Games held at Maseno University in Kenya. The event saw universities from across East Africa competing in various sports, with Kampala University emerging with several top finishes in woodball, taekwondo, football, handball, netball, volleyball basketball, and athletes, to mention but a few.
During the presentation moment, Ms. Soigi, accompanied by the coaching team, expressed her pride in the students' achievements. She highlighted the dedication and hard work that contributed to the success, thanking both the coaches and the management for their unwavering support.
"These medals and trophies are a reflection of the commitment and excellence we strive for in all areas of our university," she said.
University management, represented by the Katereggas (stakeholders), congratulated the sportsmen, ladies, and the sports department for their outstanding performance. The Katereggas reaffirmed the university's commitment to supporting sports development, emphasising that these victories not only highlight the students' talents but also enhance Kampala University’s reputation in the region. The presentation of the trophies marked a moment of pride and celebration for the entire university community.
The medals included gold, silver and bronze.
