Notice To The General Public About a Security Officer Who Shot Himself at Kampala University, Masaka Campus
Kampala University wishes to inform the public about the unfortunate incident involving Mr. Matte Measach, a security officer from TIMECOP Security Company, who tragically shot himself dead yesterday, 20th Feb 2025
According to Mr. Emmanuel Musimenta, the General Manager of TIMECOP Security Company, the late Matte left a note in his pocket stating that he had decided to take away his life due to the alleged family-related issues, specifically claims of being bewitched by his family members.
Mr. Musimenta further stated that Mr. Matte Measach had served with TIMECOP Security Company for seven years and was known to be a dedicated and disciplined employee.
We would like to clarify that the cause of this tragic incident is not in any way connected to Kampala University Masaka Campus at all; because it was a family matter.
Investigations about this incident are being handled by CID at Masaka Central Police Station.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family and colleagues during this difficult time.
