Kampala University’s Commitment to Skilling Youths in Leisure, Tourism, and Hotel Management
Kampala University is committed to equipping youths with practical skills in Leisure, Tourism, and Hotel Management (LTHM) through hands-on training.
The institution prioritises experiential learning, ensuring that students gain the expertise needed to thrive in the competitive job market.
During a practical lecture on March 11, 2025, the Head of the LTHM Department, Mr. Wiire Nicholas, urged students to actively engage in the university’s hands-on training sessions. He emphasised that practical experience is crucial not only for securing employment but also for fostering entrepreneurship. By mastering industry-specific skills, graduates will be well-positioned to outcompete their peers and establish their own businesses in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
Through this approach, Kampala University seeks to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
The university remains dedicated to producing highly skilled professionals who can make meaningful contributions to the industry.
