Ms. Kateregga holds a Masters Degree in Management, A Bachelor of Business Administration from Makerere University, a Postgraduate Qualification in International Business Management from Niagara College (Canada), and a Diploma in Community and Development Service Work from Trillium College (Canada). She has also completed specialized training in Human Resource Management, Leadership, Public Speaking, and Quality Assurance through institutions such as the British Council and the Council for East African Universities.

Ms. Rashida Kateregga is a distinguished Ugandan leader whose career bridges the worlds of higher education and healthcare management. She currently serves as the Resident Director and Vice-Chairperson of the Board of Trustees at Kampala University, where she plays a pivotal role in shaping the institution’s strategic direction and ensuring continuity of its founding vision.

A dynamic and forward-thinking administrator, Ms. Kateregga is widely recognized for her commitment to inclusive leadership and institutional growth. She has been instrumental in strengthening Kampala University’s regional presence, fostering partnerships, and championing student-centered initiatives across all five campuses. Her leadership style is rooted in collaboration, transparency, and a deep belief in the transformative power of education.

Beyond academia, Ms. Kateregga brings over a decade of experience in healthcare operations. She was the Director of Operations at the International Medical Group (IMG) in Kampala, where she oversaw strategic support services that enhance patient care and organizational efficiency. Her dual expertise in education and healthcare reflects a rare blend of vision and versatility.

Ms. Kateregga previously served as the Human Resource Manager and Deputy Registrar at Kampala University, laying the groundwork for her current leadership role.

She is also the Vice Chairperson Board of Trustees and a member of the University Council at The East African University, Kitengela in Kenya, contributing to regional higher education governance.

Her recent engagements include representing Kampala University at high-profile events, and delivering keynote addresses. Her presence at these events underscores her role as a trusted ambassador of the university’s values and mission.
