Prof Syed Abidi

He was the Director of the East Africa School of Library and Information Science (EASLIS) for 30 years.

EASLIS was established at Makerere University in 1963 and is one of the academic units equivalent to a Faculty.

He was a senior Lecturer at Makerere University for 20 years. He is the current Chairman of the Kampala University Council and of Almustafah University College.
