Kampala University Lady Eagles Awarded The Fair Play Trophy Of The National Basketball League (NBL) Season 2023
There was joy and smiles on the faces of the KU Lady Eagles when they were awarded the Fair Play trophy of the National Basketball League Season 2023 at the LuLugogo-based TN Arena on Sunday 22nd October 2023.
It is the first time the KU Lady Eagles are playing in the NBL. They have emerged with the Fair Play Award, a recognition given to a team that exemplifies the ideals of sportsmanship on the court, with ethical behaviour, fair play, and integrity.
It is a good achievement for the Ladies of basketball and the Kampala University family at large after being the Champions of Division One last year 2022.
Women's basketball in Uganda is now over 20 years old at the top level and today it is one of those sections of Ugandan basketball that has picked up a position in the hearts of sports lovers hence upholding a great following year after year.
