Kampala University Rallies Students For Success As End-of-Semester Exams Commence Across All Campuses

Kampala University officially commenced its end-of-semester examinations across all its five campuses, with university leaders extending strong messages of encouragement, discipline, and academic excellence to students undertaking the assessments.

The examinations, which began on 17th May 2026, are running smoothly and are expected to conclude on 7th June 2026. The exercise is being conducted simultaneously at the University’s Ggaba Main Campus, Mutundwe Campus, Masaka Campus, Luweero Campus, and Jinja Campus.

The examination period was preceded by a comprehensive examination briefing on 15th May 2026 led by the Academic Registrar, Mr. Segawa Ahmed Hamza, who reminded students about the important DOs and DON’Ts during examinations. Students were urged to maintain integrity, observe all university regulations, and conduct themselves responsibly throughout the examination period.

The briefing ceremony was officiated by the founding Vice-Chancellor, Owek. Amb. Al-haj Prof. Badru Dungu Kateregga, who encouraged students to remain focused and committed to their academic goals. Addressing the students, Prof. Kateregga emphasized the importance of discipline, hard work, and proper time management.

“Dear students, study hard and manage your time wisely, observe all examination rules and regulations, avoid distractions, and maintain discipline during the examination period. Support one another academically and build positive networks,” Prof. Kateregga advised.

He further wished all students success and the very best in their examinations and future endeavors, reiterating the University’s assurance to academic excellence and holistic student development.

The event was well attended by several senior university officials and members of staff, including the Resident Director and Deputy Chairperson Board of Trustees, Ms. Rashida Kateregga; the Deputy Resident Director, Mr. Faquih Muhammad Kateregga; the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Dr. Maboh Micheal Nkwati; the University Consultant on Finance and General Duties in the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, Mr. Kamoga Ronald; Ms. Sarah Kateregga the Director Kampala Film School,  the University Administrator, Ms. Naila Florence, among many other members of staff.

Students across the University’s campuses expressed optimism and appreciation for the guidance and support offered by the University leadership as they continue with their examinations in an organized and peaceful environment.
