Kampala University Strengthens Ties with Faith of Unity in a Historic Visit to Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka
In a remarkable gesture of friendship and collaboration, Kampala University on 10 November 2025 paid a courtesy visit to the revered leader of the FAITH OF UNITY, Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka, at the movement’s headquarters in Kapyemi, Muhoro Town Council, Kagadi District.
Arriving at exactly 2:00pm, the Kampala University delegation was warmly received by officials of the Faith of Unity and joined other visitors who had patiently gathered for appointments with Owobusobozi Bisaka, each treated with exceptional hospitality. As they waited, the hosts offered the delegation a rich briefing on the values, history, and remarkable work of the Faith of Unity, painting an inspiring picture of a community deeply loyal to harmony and development.
At around 1:00am, the long-awaited moment arrived. The Kampala University delegation - comprising Mr. Ssekatawa Julius (Public Relations Officer), Mr. Munawa Rogers (Luweero Campus Administrator), Mr. Muhanuzi Geoffrey (Assistant Dean of Students, Luweero Campus), Mr. Mugalu Augustine (Dean of Students), and Mr. Sserunkuma Kitone Vincent (Marketing Coordinator, Luweero Campus) - was graciously ushered in to meet Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka.
He received the team with a warm smile, radiating kindness and genuine delight.
In the opening moments of the interaction, Mr. Ssekatawa Julius, was honored with the first handshake. He conveyed deep appreciation to Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka for granting audience to the delegation and for his assurance for support toward higher education.
In his remarks, Mr. Ssekatawa extended heartfelt gratitude to Owobusobozi for entrusting Kampala University with a large number of students from the the Faith of Unity movement. He praised discipline, respect, and commitment to academic excellence -qualities that have made them outstanding members of the university community.
He further briefed him that Kampala University has now grown into a 26-year-old institution with five vibrant campuses and two sister universities in the region.
He reiterated that the university continues to advance steadily in line with its mission and vision, with all its academic and operational progress firmly on course.
Ssekatawa concluded by requesting Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka to continue encouraging more young people to join Kampala University, where they can benefit from productive, market-oriented and development-driven programs.
In response, Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka congratulated the university team for their commendable work and assured them of his continued support.
With joy, he extended a warm handshake to each delegation member, symbolizing unity, partnership, and goodwill.
The historic visit concluded with a memorable group photograph, capturing a moment that signified strengthened ties and a promising future between Kampala University and the Faith of Unity.
