ONC Boss Namyalo Extends Ramadan Kindness to Kampala University Students

Office of the National Chairman (ONC) Manager and Special Presidential Advisor Hadijah Namyalo has extended her ongoing Ramadan charity drive to Kampala University, delivering food packages to Muslim students in a gesture aimed at supporting their spiritual devotion and academic journey during the Holy Month.

The university corridors took on a reflective and purposeful atmosphere on Tuesday evening as the ONC team arrived at around 4 p.m., carrying essential food items to ease fasting for students observing Ramadan. The outreach, which blended faith with practical support, placed learners at the heart of a campaign designed to cushion those balancing academic responsibilities with limited finances.

Students expressed appreciation for the timely intervention, noting that the support would help them maintain focus on both their studies and religious obligations.

Addressing the students, Hajjat Namyalo urged them to embrace Ramadan not only as a period of spiritual renewal but also as a season of discipline, self-control, and purpose. She reminded them that pursuing higher education carries both personal ambition and national responsibility.

“Your presence at the university is a sign of hope for your families and for Uganda. Remain steadfast in prayer and fasting, but also stay committed to your academic goals,” she said, offering prayers for their success.

She also conveyed special greetings to the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Owek. Amb. Al-Haj Prof. Badru Kateregga, recalling his mentorship during her time at Makerere University.

The ONC delegation was received by Resident Director and Vice-Chairperson Board of Trustees Ms. Rashidah Kateregga, accompanied by her deputy Mr. Muhammed Faquih Kateregga, Finance Consultant in the Office of the Vice-Chancellor Mr. Kamoga Ronald, University Administrator Ms. Naila Florence, Public Relations Officer Mr. Ssekatawa Julius, Mr.Awali Kinamunda marketing executive, Patron of KUMSA Mr. Walakira Hussein, Guild President H.E.
