Prof. Kateregga Leads Kampala University in Supporting Lydia Jazmine’s Concert

KAMPALA, UGANDA: 26th August 2026: The Founding Vice-Chancellor of Kampala University, Owek. Ambassador Al-Haj Professor Badru Dungu Kateregga, has contributed Shs4 million towards the forthcoming Lydia Jazmine and The One & Only Concert, indorsing Kampala University’s assurance to supporting Ugandan talent and empowering young people.

The highly anticipated concert is scheduled to take place on Friday, 4 September 2026, at the Lugogo Cricket Oval, bringing together music lovers, artists, young people and supporters of Uganda’s entertainment industry for an exciting celebration of talent.

While handing over the contribution, Prof. Kateregga expressed pride in Lydia Jazmine’s achievements and commended her for continuing to promote Ugandan music and talent on the national and international stage.

“We are proud of you, Jazmine. You are a valued friend of Kampala University. We are passionate about supporting talent and empowering the youth. We therefore call upon Ugandans and friends of Uganda to turn up in large numbers and support our daughter, Lydia Jazmine,” Prof. Kateregga said.

Prof. Kateregga encouraged Ugandans from all walks of life to attend the concert and give Lydia Jazmine the support she deserves, describing the event as an important platform for celebrating Uganda’s creative industry.

The Lydia Jazmine and The One & Only Concert is expected to attract a large audience as fans come together to celebrate one of Uganda’s leading female musical talents.

Kampala University wishes Lydia Jazmine success as she prepares for her much-anticipated concert and calls upon the public to turn up in large numbers and make the event a memorable celebration of Ugandan talent.
