The Bachelor of Interior and Landscape Design provides products that satisfy our needs in areas such as home furnishings and applications, visual media, information technology, as well as tools, equipment, packages, and transport vehicles used in production and distribution business enterprises.
Objectives
- To offer training in various concepts and practical experiences to meet market demands.
- To produce professional, self-motivated Interior and Landscape Designers capable of developing and interpreting design concepts.
- To develop practical skills in the use of local materials, tools, and production techniques.
- To conduct research and understand the principles and elements of design for product development.
Philosophy
Kampala University is a fountain of knowledge, producing holistic graduates who become vanguards of change. Learning Outcome
- Understand the historical development of different techniques in interior and landscape design.
- Demonstrate skills in using different tools and equipment to produce various interior and landscape products.
- Creatively use assorted materials through improvisation and supplementation.

Entry Requirements
- Direct Entry: Two principal passes at A’ Level and at least five passes at O’ Level in one sitting, including a principal pass in Art.
- Diploma Entry: A relevant diploma from a recognized institution with a credit or its equivalent.
- Mature Age Entry: Candidates must be at least 22 years old and have scored at least 50% in a mature age examination from an NCHE-recognized center.
- Higher Education Certificate (HEC): A relevant HEC accredited by NCHE with a distinction or credit.
