The Bachelor of Library, Archives and Records Management programme provides students with the knowledge and skills required to manage libraries, archives, and records centers effectively. The programme focuses on principles and practices of information management, preservation, and retrieval in both traditional and digital formats.
Objectives
- To introduce students to the concepts and principles of Library, Archives, and Records Information systems.
- To equip students with knowledge and skills in managing various types of information institutions.
- To build human resource capacity for staffing universities, governmental, non-governmental, and private organizations.
- To prepare students for further professional growth in Library, Archives, and Records Information management.

Entry Requirements
- Direct Entry: Two principal passes at A’ Level and at least five passes at O’ Level in one sitting.
- Diploma Entry: A relevant diploma from a recognized institution with a credit or its equivalent.
- Mature Age Entry: Candidates must be at least 22 years old and have passed a mature age examination from an NCHE-recognized center.
- Higher Education Certificate (HEC): A relevant HEC accredited by NCHE with a distinction or credit.
