Objectives
- To train and equip teacher trainees with knowledge and skills to provide children with an insight into the nature of religion.
- To provide an awareness of the nature and claims of religion and its role in shaping cultural and social life.
- To train and equip teacher trainees with knowledge and skills to help children understand religious influences on society.
- To enable students to appreciate the rich Islamic heritage with reference to its political, social, economic, and cultural history.
- To contribute to the spiritual and moral development of students.

Entry Requirements
- Direct Entry: Two principal passes at A’ Level, including a principal pass in Religious Studies.
- Diploma Entry: A relevant diploma from a recognized institution with a credit or its equivalent.
- Mature Age Entry: Candidates must be at least 22 years old and have passed a mature age examination from an NCHE-recognized center.
- Higher Education Certificate (HEC): A relevant HEC accredited by NCHE with a distinction or credit.
