Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Public Health is a science-based programme designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to address public health challenges. The programme covers epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental health, health policy, and community health practices.

Objectives

  • To prepare public health practitioners to work within an integrated multi-sectoral system.

Entry Requirements

  • Direct Entry: Two principal passes at A’ Level in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Mathematics, and at least five passes at O’ Level in one sitting.
  • Diploma Entry: A professional diploma in Nursing, Midwifery, Laboratory Technology, Dental Assistance, or other health-related programs.
  • Mature Age Entry: Candidates must be at least 25 years old and have scored 50% or above in the mature age examination from an NCHE-recognized center.
  • Higher Education Certificate (HEC): A relevant HEC accredited by NCHE with a distinction or credit.
