The Diploma in Computer Science and Information Technology is a two-year full-time programme that provides students with a strong foundation in both computer science and IT. The programme equips students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed in modern computing environments, enabling them to work as IT professionals or pursue further studies in computer science and related fields.
Objectives
- To equip students with technical knowledge required for an IT professional to handle multi-tasking and multi-programming environments.
- To provide knowledge in developing application programs tailored to meet the ever-changing needs of the business world.
- To equip students with theoretical and practical knowledge necessary for designing and implementing complex computer applications.
- To provide students with skills in networking, database management, programming, and IT security.

Entry Requirements
- Direct Entry: One principal pass at A’ Level with one subsidiary pass and at least five credit passes at O’ Level or its equivalent.
- Certificate Entry: A relevant certificate in Computer Science or IT from a recognized institution.
- Mature Age Entry: Candidates must be at least 25 years old and have passed a mature age examination from an NCHE-recognized center.
- Upgrading from Certificate: Applicants with a two-year certificate in Computer Science or IT from a recognized academic institution can upgrade to the diploma level.
