The Diploma in Industrial Art and Design with Education aims to provide students with practical skills and theoretical knowledge in industrial art, design, and education. The programme prepares students for careers in teaching art and design at various educational levels and enhances their ability to contribute to creative industries.
Objectives
- To develop students’ intellectual and physical capabilities by exposing them to various artistic concepts and practical experiences.
- To produce professional self-motivated Industrial Artists and Designers with entrepreneurial skills.
- To prepare students as qualified educators in Industrial Art and Design.
- To train students in effective communication design and practical applications of industrial art.

- Demonstrate functional knowledge in shaping local and manufactured materials.
- Understand the philosophical and social foundations underlying art in education.
- Effectively use local materials, tools, and production techniques in art and design.
- Transfer art and design knowledge and skills to learners in educational settings.
Entry Requirements
- Direct Entry: Two principal passes at A’ Level, one of which must be in Art.
- Certificate Entry: A certificate in Art-related areas from a recognized institution.
- Mature Age Entry: Candidates must be at least 22 years old and have passed a mature age examination from an NCHE-recognized center.
