The Diploma in Industrial Design is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in industrial design concepts and practices. The programme emphasizes problem-solving, creativity, and technical skills needed to design and develop industrial products that meet modern-day requirements.
Objectives
- To produce professional, self-motivated industrial designers capable of developing and interpreting design concepts.
- To expose students to a variety of artistic and industrial design concepts through practical experiences.
- To develop practical skills in using local materials, tools, and production techniques to enhance their relevance in industrial design.
- To provide a foundation for students to conduct research and understand principles and elements of design in product development.

Entry Requirements
- Direct Entry: A principal pass in Art at A’ Level and preferably passed it at O’ Level.
- Certificate Entry: A certificate in Industrial Design or related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Mature Age Entry: Candidates must be at least 22 years old and have passed a mature age examination from an NCHE-recognized center.
