The Diploma in Political Science aims to provide students with an understanding of politics, governance, and public administration. The programme explores democratic values, political theories, and global political systems, equipping graduates with analytical and research skills applicable in governance, diplomacy, and political consultancy.
Objectives
- To build and enhance students’ capacity in politics and political science.
- To increase knowledge of democratic values, theories, and practices in African societies and political systems.
- To enable students to engage in political analysis and policymaking at local, national, and global levels.
- To develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills in governance and public administration.

Entry Requirements
- Direct Entry: Two principal passes at A’ Level in Arts or Social Sciences.
- Certificate Entry: A recognized certificate in Political Science or related field.
- Mature Age Entry: Candidates must be at least 22 years old and have passed a mature age examination from an NCHE-recognized center.
